All Dell team members who add dependents to medical, dental or vision coverage must complete a dependent verification process to ensure continued coverage.
If you are regularly scheduled to work under 40 hours per week, you are required to track your hours in Kronos. For additional information please open a case via My HR.
When benefits take effect

|Enroll as a new hire||As of your first day of work if you enroll within 31 calendar days of receiving access to the benefits enrollment website|

|Add coverage during the year because of a qualified status change event||As of the date of the event, if you report the change within 31 days of the event. See "Changing benefits during the year."|
Newborns will automatically be covered for the first 31 days if the mother or father is enrolled in a Dell medical plan through Aetna, UnitedHealthcare or Harvard Pilgrim.
Note: This automatic coverage is only for 31 days. Team members must enroll their newborns within 31 days of birth to continue coverage beyond 31 days. Other Dell medical plans have similar coverage rules regarding newborns. Refer to your plan for more information.
